Two Charged Regarding Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Assault

The incident caused the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the multi-storey parking facility.

Two individuals are now facing charges following a luggage theft where a suspected irritant spray resulted in harm at the UK's busiest airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and two counts of administering a noxious substance, authorities have stated.

This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after exiting a car park lift, police said.

A young child was among those injured during the incident. Five people were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.

This event – which authorities stated was a standalone event and deemed non-terroristic – caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
