Plane Transporting US Defense Secretary Required to Land in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window

A jet transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was found in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official statement which stated that Hegseth was safe.

"The aircraft touched down in accordance with standard procedures and all passengers, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson commented in a online announcement.

Hegseth was returning from a short visit to Brussels during the flight.

This incident does not mark the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet carrying a high-ranking official has experienced technical problems.

In a previous incident this year, a American military jet transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was required to return to the US capital after encountering a technical issue.
