FC Barcelona Ready for Historic Fixture at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday
Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Basque side in the Spanish league over two years since relocating so building work could begin.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans are permitted inside as per the current authorization. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.
Recent Activities
Barça organized an open training session at the Camp Nou earlier this month. Officials stated approval is being pursued by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side in December in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
