David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Prolific writer for children and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, the company has said.
An official for the company commented: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about inappropriate behaviour directed at female individuals.
The company declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over more than 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books combined, including a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
